Hear the World welcomes new board member, Katya Kruglova

We are excited to announce that Katya Kruglova, Group Vice President of Human Resources and Communications at Sonova, has been elected as a member of the Hear the World Foundation Board. Katya will be succeeding Christophe Fond as a board member effective July 1, 2024.  

Katya brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the cause of hearing loss. She is a seasoned HR leader with more than 25 years of global experience in large-scale organizations and various industries, including medical devices, life sciences, and financial services. With an extensive background in organizational development and human resources management, Katya makes a great addition to our foundation board. Her commitment to promoting inclusive healthcare solutions aligns perfectly with our foundation’s mission of creating equal opportunities and improving the quality of life for children with hearing loss all around the world.

Alongside Arnd Kaldowski and Katya Kruglova, the Hear the World Foundation Board is  comprised of two external experts with extensive experience in non-profit management and good governance, Beate Eckhardt and Dr. Katrin Imhof. Their combined expertise and dedication will continue to drive our mission forward.

Over the past three years, the Foundation has tripled its social impact and doubled its funding income. In 23/24, Hear the World Foundation has provided its project partners with CHF 7.3 million in technical, financial, and professional support, its largest annual contribution to date. Hear the World successfully provided 4,067 hearing aids to children and increased its audiological training to 3,064 people. Additionally, nearly 1,000 hours of voluntary work by Sonova employees have been provided to Hear the World partners to help build local capacity. The Foundation will continue to focus on growing its impact and sustainability while strengthening connections with Sonova employees worldwide.
