New hope for Phuong

The three-and-a-half-year-old Phuong was born in Vietnam with severe hearing loss. A cochlear implant seemed unattainable to her parents, but the joint program of the Global Foundation For Children With Hearing Loss and the Hear the World Foundation gave them new hope.

Peru: over 31,000 children tested for hearing loss

Although Peru adopted the universal neonatal screening policy, newborns and infants remain untested for hearing loss. For this reason, the Hear the World Foundation and World Wide Hearing Foundation International jointly launched a program in 2016 to test underserved children in Peru for hearing loss.

CI-Donation helps children in Vietnam to hear

The Global Foundation For Children With Hearing Loss, a United States-based nonprofit organization, and the Swiss Hear the World Foundation have joined forces to enable ten Vietnamese children in need with significant hearing loss to hear and speak.

German singer-songwriter Gregor Meyle has been a Hear the World ambassador since July 2018. During his visit to a project in South Africa in July, he met children with hearing loss at the Carel du Toit Centre and sang with them as part of a musical speech therapy session.
