About China Rehabilitation Research Center for Hearing and Speech Impairment (CRRCHSI)
The China Rehabilitation Research Center for Hearing and Speech Impairment (CRRCHSI) is an affiliate of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation and was established in 1983. It is the only hearing and speech rehabilitation institution at the national level and serves as the technical resource and advisory center in the field of hearing and speech rehabilitation. CRRCHSI also operates as the WHO Collaborating Center for Prevention and Rehabilitation of Hearing Impairment and the Hearing International National (CHINA) Center (HI-IFOS-ISA). Since its establishment, CRRCHSI has made a significant contribution to improving the rehabilitation of hearing disabled persons, facilitating the development of national hearing and speech rehabilitation. The center also assisted the relevant government departments to formulate the national five-year plan for hearing and speech rehabilitation and has helped many children with hearing loss to achieve or partially achieve hearing and speech recovery.
